Dr. David Provost is one of four new members appointed to the Board of Directors for Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), a nonprofit organization that advances the safety, efficacy and efficiency of bariatric and metabolic surgery. The Board determines SRC policies and provides overall governance and oversight of the organization.

A world renowned bariatric surgeon with more than 20 years’ experience, Dr. Provost is the Medical Director of the Bariatric Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He is also Chairman of SRC’s Bariatric Surgery Review Committee and Associate Editor of Surgery for Obesity and Related Diseases.

Board members serve staggered three-year terms with SRC, which created the center of excellence programs for bariatric surgery and developed the Bariatric Outcomes Longitudinal Database (BOLD).
